The exciting new dance production by the students of DCA “Never Stop Believing” is based around the story of Mother Goose and her daughter Amber who live in Rhythm Land but have a taste of the real world.

And this time you can create and design the WHOLE SHOW!!!!

The stage design course is split into various exciting workshops where the participants will cover all aspects of design for the dance production. With 35 different costume, hair and make- up designs to be planned, the students also get to create their own lighting effects, stage backdrops and of course the all important poster to advertise the show!

Planning and designing costumes (Dec 2nd / Dec 10th 3:00 – 4:30)

What should Little Bo Peep wear? Should the hip-hop dancers wear black or red?

Throughout this workshop the designers will flick through magazines for ideas and be instructed on the requirements needed and will plan and sketch their ideas with the help of our artist/designer. Then they will explore the creation of their design, be it an alteration to an old costume, or just creatively designed a brand new one choosing the right materials and patterns.
